About the project

This project was about reimagining the visual identity of a long-standing architecture and design practice. After 16 years of using the original self-made logo, the firm was ready for a refreshed brand identity that reflected its experience, professionalism, and forward-looking approach. The goal was to create something modern and versatile while still rooted in the precision and structure of architectural design.

Brand Identity

Project Details

The original brand identity had been created by the founder when he launched the business over 16 years ago. While it had served the firm well in its early years, the design no longer reflected the reputation, scale, or professionalism the practice had since achieved. The logo felt dated, lacked flexibility across modern applications, and didn’t capture the precision or creativity at the heart of architectural design.

With clients ranging from private homeowners to large-scale developments, the firm needed a refreshed identity that would feel credible and contemporary in both digital and print settings. The challenge was to create a brand that could stand confidently alongside competitors, while still paying homage to the technical, structured nature of architecture.

The Outcome

The solution was a new monogram design, constructed from angular forms inspired by architectural plans and structural drawings. This graphic device created a distinctive visual shorthand for the brand, giving it both personality and authority.

To complement the monogram, I paired it with Bricolage Grotesque, a strong, technical sans-serif typeface that added clarity and modernity to the overall system. I developed and refined the monogram, established the type and colour palette, and built out the wider visual identity so it could be applied consistently across print, digital, and client-facing materials. The result was a refreshed identity that felt modern, confident, and true to the firm’s architectural roots.
